University of Sewing--What's New

What's new at the University of Sewing? All kinds of things! We have lots of fun classes scheduled and would love for you to join us. 

 

 

 

Button up Shirt

Tuesday evenings 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
April  9th and 16th

Wednesday evenings 5:30-7:30 pm.
May 29th and June 6th

 

This series of classes is for the person that has taken our SewingDemystified class or is very familar with how to thread their sewingmachine and wind their bobbin without help.

We will be using Indygo Junction's pattern Modern Medley.  

This class is 2, 2 hour sessions over 2 weeks.

This class includes the pattern in the price of the class.

Basic Apron Class

We will make this Basic Apron - the Origami Apron by Indygo Junction
 

This class is for the person that has taken our Sewing Demystified class or is very familar with how to thread their sewing machine and wind their bobbin without help.  
Taught by Alice Lorenzen

The pattern is included in the price of the class.

 

The New York Beauty
paper pieced foundations class
Instructor Alice Ridge
Saturday 1pm-5pm.
May 25th 

 
We will make this Classic Quilt Design, 
BUT we are going to make it with new techniques that make it so much easier!!
 

Class will cover simple Foundation Piecing and an easy way to piece the CURVES so that you won’t need pins and you won’t get puckers!!

During this class you will learn the techniques needed to make the 4 block New York Beauty Circle. 

You can quilt and bind this piece as a small wall hanging, or you can take these 4 blocks and continue at home to make a larger quilt.   

Printed foundations for the 4 blocks will be included in the class.

Students will have their choice of 1 of 3 patterns : the pattern is included in the price of the class.

 

Bernina Sewing Club
The 1st Saturday of the month 2:30-3:30pm

Join us to learn the latest tricks & projects straight from the Educators of Bernina.  Monthly on the 1st Saturday from 2:30-3:30 pm we will be demonstrating a project.  You will get monthly hand outs and lots information to make the most of your Bernina sewing machine.
