Private Sewing Lessons at The Tailored Fit
Have you ever thought about learning how to sew, or learning new techniques to add to your already solid sewing repertoire? The Tailored Fit offers private sewing lessons for beginner through advanced level sewists.
Private lessons are $45 an hour, and are generally taught by owner Margaret Fette. Children's private sewing lessons are taught by our wonderful Janice, who has extensive experience in teaching children specifically.
Since one has the instructor's undivided attention during a private lesson, what you make and learn can be customized based on your individual skill level and preferences.
Private lessons are a great idea for someone who some experience sewing but maybe doesn't fall into one of our group lessons based on their current skill level.
Private lessons also give you the freedom to choose the type of project you're most interested in. Perhaps you want to work on your pattern drafting skills, or maybe you are only interested in making baby or children's clothes. With a one-on-one setting we can design a lesson that's unique to your needs.
Occasionally a private lesson will be shared by two people who are interested in learning the same thing. Typically these people are close friends or family members. We are happy to work with up to two people in a private lesson.
Call the shop to set up a time for your private lesson. We look forward to working with you!
